Keith passed away peacefully early on August 4th, 2008 at the age of 34 and after a 3 and a half year fight against Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). He never ceased to amaze us all with his strength and positive attitude.
In the near future, this site will become a tribute page with fan photos and discussion forums for all of the musicians who fell in love with Keith's effect pedals.
A thread has been started on the Harmony Central discussion board where you can read some thoughts about Keith and his work, or post some of your own. Check it out.
If you have questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Craig VanDerSchaegen
NOTE: Aramat Effects is no longer producing, fixing, or modifying pedals. If you have a used or broken pedal you'd like to sell or donate, Keith's family is interested in having a piece of his legacy.
Brad Rice, guitarist with Ryan Adams, Son Volt, Tift Merritt, and currently on tour with Keith Urban.
"The Green Machine is righteous! Nice amount of compression...not too much...and just a great overall rockin' tone! I put it on my pedalboard and I'm ready to go. You ROCK! Thank You Keith!" - Brad Rice
Eric "Roscoe" Ambel, guitarist with The Yayhoos. Eric has produced such artists as Nils Lofgren, The Bottle Rockets, and Whiskeytown. He has also toured with various artists, including Steve Earle.
Rontrose Heathman & Dan "Thunder" Bolton, guitarists with Supersuckers.
"I have had the pleasure of using the Green Machine on two tours now and I have never in my life found an overdrive that sounds this good. As much or as little gain as you want with no fizz and most importantly no low end dropout. Hands down the best overdrive on the market today." - Rontrose
Mark Erelli, Signature Sounds recording artist. (www.markerelli.com)
"In a word: WOW. The pedal sounds great. Thanks for the tone."
